Making the Most of Your Golden Years

If, in your golden years, you would like to travel but don’t want to, or can’t, spend a lot of money to do it, you need to know about home exchange. This can not only enable you to  save thousands of dollars on accommodations and car rentals, but also allow you to live like a local, and make new friends all over the world.

The world of home exchange is a community of people from all parts of the world who have discovered the many benefits of home exchange. All you need to participate is a place to exchange, enough time to spend in the places you would like to visit, enough money for transportation to and from the exchanges, and money for your normal living expenses, because you will be able to live in your exchange home the way you live at home.

This blog will describe and discuss aspects of home exchange, its benefits, provide some tips about how to join this world and provide some specific advice on how to handle the various aspects of home exchange.  The blog will also talk about related topics that Judy and I believe would be of interest to home exchangers.

Home exchangers who want to relate their own home exchange experiences can participate in our blog series of home exchange stories.  For information regarding this series, please see our first blog in the series.

For a complete and detailed guide to home exchange, check out our eBook, The GUIDE TO HOME EXCHANGE, at the top of the  sidebar on this page.

We also offer a free eBook, How to Prepare Your Home for a Home Exchange.   This eBook goes into detail to help you not only to get ready for your exchange, but to reduce clutter in your home for your everyday life.  You will be able to immediately download it in the second box in the sidebar. By signing up, you will also be able to receive our occasional  newsletter with additional information about home exchange when we find out new information that we believe would be of interest to home exchangers.

Sometimes in our travels we run across things of uncommon usefulness.  Most recently, we had to replace one of our cameras.  We like the replacement camera so much that we decided we each needed one, so we got two of them in two different colors.  When people ask about them, we find ourselves enthusiastically telling them about all its advantages.  That’s why we have a blog entry about the new camera.  Our intent is to pass along information about such items that we think would be of interest to home exchangers.

In some cases, we may find out that companies selling such a product have an affiliate program, in which case we may employ an affiliate link.  Of course we would only do that for products we love and think you may also.  We hope it is a convenient way for you to go directly to find out more about products we talk about, and to provide support for our blog.  If you prefer not to use these links, there is absolutely no need to do so.
